Luke 23:34: “Father, forgive them, for they know not what they do." “Therefore the kingdom of heaven may be compared to a king who wished to settle accounts with his servants.” - Matthew 18:23 “He is the propitiation for our sins, and not only for ours but also for the sins of the whole world.” - 1 John 2:2 “But when that same servant went out, he found one of his fellow servants who owed him a hundred denarii, and seizing him, he began to choke him, saying, ‘Pay what you owe.’ So his fellow servant fell down and pleaded with him, 'Have patience with me, and I will pay you.' He refused and went and put him in prison until he should pay the debt.” - Matthew 18:28-30 It is hypocritical to be forgiven and refuse to forgive. “So the servant fell on his knees, imploring him, 'Have patience with me, and I will pay you everything.'” - Matthew 18:26 28 But when that same servant went out, he found one of his fellow servants who owed him a hundred hdenarii, and seizing him, he began to choke him, saying, ‘Pay what you owe.’ - Matthew 18:28 We forgive others to the degree we've grasped how completely God has forgiven us. 29 So his fellow servant fell down and pleaded with him, ‘Have patience with me, and I will pay you.’ - Matthew 18:29 It's easy to minimize our sins against God and maximize the sin of others against us.
