God offers us a full life in an empty world

Ecclesiastes 8:2 – Keep the king's command, because of God's oath to him.

Keep the king’s commands

Ecclesiastes 10:20a – Even in your thoughts, do not curse the king…

1 Timothy 2:1-4 – First of all, then, I urge that supplications, prayers, intercessions, and thanksgivings be made for all people, for kings and all who are in high positions, that we may lead a peaceful and quiet life, godly and dignified in every way. This is good, and it is pleasing in the sight of God our Savior, who desires all people to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth.

Ecclesiastes 8:3b-4 – Do not take your stand in an evil cause, for he does whatever he pleases. For the word of the king is supreme, and who may say to him, “What are you doing?”

Watch the king’s causes

Ecclesiastes 8:5b – …and the wise heart will know the proper time and the just way.

There’s healing and hope for every harm

Proverbs 29:13 – The poor man and the oppressor meet together; the Lord gives light to the eyes of both.

Ecclesiastes 5:19 – Everyone also to whom God has given wealth and possessions and power to enjoy them, and to accept his lot and rejoice in his toil—this is the gift of God.

Enjoy what God has given to you

2 Corinthians 9:6-7 – The point is this: whoever sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and whoever sows bountifully will also reap bountifully. Each one must give as he has decided in his heart, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver.
