Applying God's Word to Life

  1. Give an example of a time you tried something you didn’t think you could do, but instead, you “nailed it”?
  2. Give an example of a time you tried something you thought you could do, but in fact, you “failed it”?
  3. What are the top 3 things on your prayer list? Why?
  4. What matters the most to God? How do you know?
  5. What would you describe as the top 4 priorities of your Christian life?
  6. How do God’s priorities compare to your priorities?
  7. How are you currently expressing God’s passionate priorities in your everyday life?
  8. What are some positives you can celebrate regarding where your spiritual life is at right now?
  9. Who comes to mind as you consider God’s passion for people? Why?
  10. What are some tangible steps you could take this week to embrace Jesus’ desire for you to grow in these 3 key areas?
  11. What steps are you willing to commit to take this week to say “yes” to Jesus’ invitation to follow Him?

Women’s Prayer Brunch: Saturday, October 14 at 10:00 a.m. at Rita Larson’s home (17161 350th Ave. S. Starbuck (612-770-5411). RSVP by contacting Rita. All women are invited (invite friends) for a time of food, fellowship and prayer.

Glenwood Area Cub Scouts Willing to Help People in Need of Leaf Removal in Starbuck: If you or someone you know needs help with removing the leaves in your yard, contact Mandy at 320-424-0839. The tentative date the scouts will be working is October 15.

Youth Group: 6:40-8:05 p.m. at Central Square gym with games, music at 7:00, message, and age-appropriate small groups. Special events will be scheduled most 4th Wednesdays of the month.

AWANA: Wednesdays at 6:30-8:00 p.m. at the First Baptist Church in Glenwood for ages 3 yrs-6th grade.

Sermon Based Small Group: Wednesdays at 6:45 p.m. at the Starbuck site. Attend any week to gather with others to dig deeper into the text of the Sunday sermon using the sermon questions in the bulletin. Contact Mike at 406-547-4089 for more information.

Hope Youth Retreat Oct. 27-29: Night games, games, cooking together, AirMaxx trampolines & skatepark & shopping in St. Cloud, and youth devotions.
