No Pain, No Glorious Gain

Romans 8:18-39

By Pastor Kelly Mahoney, July 14, 2024

Perseverance thru the pain comes thru the:

  1. of glory in the life to come.
  1. of the Spirit with us right now.

3) of God at work for our good.

  1. Love of God holding us fast.

Applying God's Word to Life

  1. When was a time that you wanted to give up? What kept you going?

  2. What have been some of the hardest things that you have endured so far? What made them so hard?

  3. What’s on the list of things that cause people to groan?

  4. When things are hard, what gives you hope to keep on going?

  5. What are some of the tangible ways you’ve been helped in this life so that you could face trials you have overcome so far?

  6. In what ways may there have been a “hidden hand” at work to lift you out of the past pits you had fallen into?

  7. What evidence do you have that God has been using even the bad things for good purposes in your life?

  8. How do you know that God loves you?

  9. What are some of the things you had previously feared would separate you from God’s love? Are those valid concerns?

  10. Which of these four provisions are you most in need of right now to help you persevere to the end?

  11. Which lifeline are you reaching out for today to face your current pains as you endure the pressures of everyday life?
