Did you “get away with it”? What did it “cost you”? Why did you choose this example today? What are the top reasons you choose to obey or disobey a law or authority? Why would you want to obey Jesus? What are some of the ways you currently disobey the authorities in your life? What potential costs might you incur for choosing to disobey these authorities? What impact might your response to authority have on you, the people you love, and upon God’s mission? What symptoms help you identify that your conscience is not clear? As you consider today’s message, which of these areas is your strongest motivation for wanting to respond well to authority? Is there any past wrong God is prompting you to make right now? How will you think or live differently as you go from here today? Announcements A Night to Unite in Starbuck: Friday, Sept. 20. from 3:30-6:00 pm.
