Whose testimony compelled you to change your mind about something important? What was the result for you? What makes God’s promised power so important when it comes to fulfilling the co-mission God has given His church? What are ways we are encouraged to tap into God’s power? How? Why? What do you do personally in order to access and rely on God’s power? How would you describe your prayer life this last week or month? How might growth in relationship with God grow your conviction, effectiveness, and passion? What might that look like? Who might the Lord want you and the Holy Spirit to encourage to consider Jesus? What do you sense Jesus leading you to do or believe as a result of our time in God’s word today? Announcements Graduation Recognition Sunday: May 18 at both services. If you or your child are a high school graduate this year, check your email for a request for graduate information and a picture. If you did not receive the email, contact Vickie. We would like to honor the graduates that have attended Hope Community Church or youth group even if they are unable to attend Recognition Sunday. VBS Dates: Hope Community and First Baptist are teaming up again to provide an awesome VBS experience for 4 year olds at the time of VBS (note the age change from previous years) through entering 5th grade on June 23-26 from 9:00-11:30 a.m. at the First Baptist Church in Glenwood. The title this year is Wonder Junction by Answers in Genesis, with an old west theme. Registration will come out in May. Last Youth Group and AWANA is May 7. Baptism: We will not have a baptism in May. The next Baptism is scheduled for Wednesday, August 13 at 6:00 p.m. at the Starbuck City Park and at this time, there are 3 people planning to get baptized. If you are interested in being baptized, contact Pastor Kelly.
