The Lord a Refuge

Joel 3:1-21

A Sure Judgment

Dwelling with God

Applying God's Word to Life

  1. What is something you look forward to ‘God setting it right’?

  2. Why is that important to you?

  3. Read the trumpet judgments (Revelation 8, 9, 11:15-19) and the reaping of the earth’s harvest (Revelation 14:14-20) and compare that with the language of Joel 3:12-16.

  4. Also read of the glory of the eternal presence of God (Revelation 21:22-22:5) and compare that with Joel 3:17-18.

  5. How would you describe the hope of the follower of Christ (as it relates to all that is yet future)?

  6. How do you reconcile the power of God, the evil in the world, and the hope to come?  How would you describe it in a way that makes sense of our current realities?

  7. Why is the fact that God ‘dwells’ with His people the ultimate hope?
