Applying God's Word to Life When have you been totally deceived? What convinced you? What was the result of that deception? Who can we trust? How can we discern who should be listened to, and whose teachings to avoid? How important is it to consider who you are learning from? Why? How does one’s heart and mindset impact what they hear? Examples? What can we do to make sure we keep the main things, the main things? What are some of the filibusters that could sidetrack us from the work God wants us to do? How can we grow in our understanding so that we are anchored in the storm that we find ourselves in? What are some best practices for discerning truth from error? How can you know if something does not square with biblical, historical, and missional Christianity? How might the Lord want you to think or act differently in order to grow up in Him right now? What will it look like to embrace the truths God’s revealed to you today? Announcements Hope Youth Retreat—Nov. 21-23: Night games, cooking together, laser tag, mini-golf, batting cages, & shopping in St. Cloud, and youth devotions. Depart Friday, Nov. 21 at 5:15pm from Minnewaska H.S. (after practices) and return Sun., Nov. 23 at Central Square parking lot @ 1pm. Sign-up and pay $60 by Nov. 5. Friends welcome.
