Jesus’ Kingdom wants to win your: — to prioritize eternal treasures. 2) — toward life-giving priorities. 3) — for surrendered service. 4) — in trusting reliance on the Father. Applying God's Words to Life What best illustrates being pulled in two directions at once? When have you felt a strong pull to go in the wrong direction? What are the treasures we hold most dear in our culture? In your heart? What makes temporary treasures so appealing? Why aren’t we more compelled by eternal treasures instead? What are some of the various focal points that tend to capture our attention? How is our life and demeanor affected by the various things we might focus on? Compare what God asks of you to what “money” requires of you. What does it look like to be self serving? How does it compare to living to serve God? As you consider Jesus’ appeal regarding the Father’s posture toward you, what do you find the most appealing and compelling (Matt. 6:26-34)? What is likely to change as we grow in our trust of God’s passion toward us and tangible care of his children? Which kingdom are you most often building currently? What might the Lord want to change in you and through you in order that he might establish his kingdom more fully in you? How will you respond?
