The Spiritual Life is not Automatic Seek the Lord to End Well Reflection Questions Who is someone that comes to mind whose life did not end well i.e. the ending of their life changed the way people thought about them? What are some things that trip people up at the end of their lives? How would you describe the probable thought process of King Asa as he considered what actions to take against Baasha? Re-enact the confrontation between Hanani and Asa. What emotions are present (both stated and unstated)? How would you describe the tone and the tension between the two? Paint a picture of the relationship between Asa and the Lord during the last years of the King's life. Why do you think Asa didn't repent of his actions, either with regard to the prophet or to the disease? Why is repentance so difficult for you and me? What gets in the way of confession and seeking the Lord? What will have to be true in a person's life if they intend to end well?
