Pause in the Pivot

Pivot Points - Week 4

By John Youell, Jr., January 26, 2025

(Psalm 27:13-14 NLT) I am confident I will see the Lord’s goodness while I am here in the land of the living. Wait patiently for the Lord. Be brave and courageous. Yes, wait patiently for the Lord.

(Psalm 46:10 NLT) Be still, and know that I am God, I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth.

(Psalm 143:3-4 NLT) My enemy has chased me. He has knocked me to the ground and forces me to live in darkness like those in the grave. I am losing all hope; I am paralyzed with fear.

1. Pause to

(Psalm 143:5 NLT) I remember the days of old. I ponder all your great works and think about what you have done.

(Psalm 77:12 MSG) Once again I’ll go over what God has done, lay out on the table the ancient wonders; I’ll ponder all the things you’ve accomplished, and give a long, loving look at your acts.

2. Pause to

(Psalm 143:6 NLT) I lift my hands to you in prayer. I thirst for you as parched land thirsts for rain.

(Psalm 66:20 NLT) Praise God, who did not ignore my prayer or withdraw his unfailing love from me.

3. Pause to

(Psalm 145:1-7 NLT) I will exalt you, my God and King, and praise your name forever and ever. I will praise you every day; yes, I will praise you forever. Great is the Lord! He is most worthy of praise! No one can measure his greatness. Let each generation tell its children of your mighty acts; let them proclaim your power. I will meditate on your majestic, glorious splendor and your wonderful miracles. Your awe-inspiring deeds will be on every tongue; I will proclaim your greatness. Everyone will share the story of your wonderful goodness; they will sing with joy about your righteousness.

(2 Corinthians 4:13 NCV) It is written in the Scriptures, “I believed, so I spoke.” Our faith is like this, too. We believe, and so we speak.
