Way of the Kingdom - Part 5

By John Youell, Jr., July 20, 2025

(John 14:6 NIV) Jesus answered, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.

(Matthew 4:23 NASB) Jesus was going about in all of Galilee, teaching in their synagogues and proclaiming the gospel of the kingdom…

(Matthew 13:47-52 NLT) “Again, the Kingdom of Heaven is like a fishing net that was thrown into the water and caught fish of every kind. When the net was full, they dragged it up onto the shore, sat down, and sorted the good fish into crates, but threw the bad ones away. That is the way it will be at the end of the world. The angels will come and separate the wicked people from the righteous, throwing the wicked into the fiery furnace, where there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth. Do you understand all these things? “Yes,” they said, “we do.”

The Dragnet

1. There is a coming at the of the .

  • Make sure you are of the Kingdom.

(Matthew 13:43 NLT) Then the righteous will shine like the sun in their Father’s Kingdom. Anyone with ears to hear should listen and understand!

(1 Corinthians 15:45 NIV) So it is written: “The first man Adam became a living being”; the last Adam, a life-giving spirit.

(Romans 8:26 NIV) The Spirit himself testifies with our spirit that we are God’s children.

2. The two remain together until by .

  • We must to see others as sees them.

(2 Corinthians 5:16-21 NIV) So from now on we regard no one from a worldly point of view. Though we once regarded Christ in this way, we do so no longer. Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come: The old has gone, the new is here! All this is from God, who reconciled us to himself through Christ and gave us the ministry of reconciliation: that God was reconciling the world to himself in Christ, not counting people’s sins against them.

3. Heavenly is greater than love.

  • We learn to love with in view.

(Matthew 5:43-48 NIV) You have heard the law that says, ‘Love your neighbor’ and hate your enemy. But I say, love your enemies! Pray for those who persecute you! In that way, you will be acting as true children of your Father in heaven. For he gives his sunlight to both the evil and the good, and he sends rain on the just and the unjust alike. If you love only those who love you, what reward is there for that? Even corrupt tax collectors do that much. If you are kind only to your friends, how are you different from anyone else? Even pagans do that. But you are to be perfect, even as your Father in heaven is perfect.
