Paul is reminding Timothy of all that he has invested in him. Paul is exhorting Timothy to carry on what he has taught him. Sound doctrine (2 Tim. 1:13) Investing in people (2 Tim. 2:2) Paul is revealing the circumstances under which this is to happen. 2 Timothy 3 answers 2 big questions: How should we respond Biblically to “perilous times” How do we make a generational impact in “perilous times”? Let’s see what Paul told Timothy… such people (2 Tim 3:1-9) “be knowing this” (3:1) “…be keeping this in your mind…” “…in the last days” (3:1) “…there will be times of difficulty.” (3:1) They will be difficult because of . people. & people. people. What Paul does NOT mean by this. What Paul means by this. 2. someone (2 Timothy 3:10-13) “…followed…” Make this . Be . Be . Be . Be . Be . Be . 3. in the Word of God. “…but as for you, continue…” What do we mean by this? Learning it. Owning it. those who impacted you. Why? Because the Word of God is… To be perpetuated. . Profitable for… “…teaching…” = (material) what is right. “…reproof…” = what is not right “…correction…” = how to get right “…instruction…” = how to stay right Perfecting. . These are difficult times. We still have a mission to make a generational impact!
