When you hear the word “obey”, what feelings do you experience? Our problem is that the obedience from the heart is a millstone around our neck. “‘This people honors me with their lips, but their heart is far from me; in vain do they worship me, teaching as doctrines the commandments of men.’” Matthew 15:8-9 (ESV) I have good news for all of us today – Jesus came to set us free So Jesus said to the Jews who had believed him, “If you abide in my word, you are truly my disciples, and you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.” So if the Son sets you free, you will be free indeed.
