Luke 9:51 NASB 51 When the days were approaching for His ascension, He was determined to go to Jerusalem; Luke 10:38-42 38 As Jesus and his disciples were on their way, he came to a village where a woman named Martha opened her home to him.39 She had a sister called Mary, who sat at the Lord's feet listening to what he said.40 But Martha was distracted by all the preparations that had to be made. She came to him and asked, "Lord, don't you care that my sister has left me to do the work by myself? Tell her to help me!"41 “Martha, Martha,” the Lord answered, "you are worried and upset about many things,42 but only one thing is needed. Mary has chosen what is better, and it will not be taken away from her." Matthew 11:28-30 28 “Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.29 Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls.30 For my yoke is easy and my burden is light.” Hebrews 4:9-11 9 There remains, then, a Sabbath-rest for the people of God;10 for anyone who enters God's rest also rests from his own work, just as God did from his.11 Let us, therefore, make every effort to enter that rest, so that no one will fall by following their example of disobedience. 1 Peter 4:9 9 Offer hospitality to one another without grumbling. Hebrews 10:19-25 19 Therefore, brothers, since we have confidence to enter the Most Holy Place by the blood of Jesus,20 by a new and living way opened for us through the curtain, that is, his body,21 and since we have a great priest over the house of God,22 let us draw near to God with a sincere heart in full assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled to cleanse us from a guilty conscience and having our bodies washed with pure water.23 Let us hold unswervingly to the hope we profess, for he who promised is faithful.24 And let us consider how we may spur one another on toward love and good deeds.25 Let us not give up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but let us encourage one another—and all the more as you see the Day approaching. Proverbs 4:23 23 Above all else, guard your heart, for it is the wellspring of life. John 11:21, 32 21 “Lord,” Martha said to Jesus, "if you had been here, my brother would not have died. 32 When Mary reached the place where Jesus was and saw him, she fell at his feet and said, “Lord, if you had been here, my brother would not have died.” Matthew 6:33-34 33 But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well.34 Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own. James 4:6-8 6 But he gives us more grace. That is why Scripture says: "God opposes the proud but gives grace to the humble."7 Submit yourselves, then, to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.8 Come near to God and he will come near to you. Wash your hands, you sinners, and purify your hearts, you double-minded. Colossians 3:1 1 Since, then, you have been raised with Christ, set your hearts on things above, where Christ is seated at the right hand of God.
