2 Chronicles 7:1-3 1 Now when Solomon had finished praying, fire came down from heaven and consumed the burnt offering and the sacrifices, and the glory of the LORD filled the house.2 And the priests could not enter the house of the LORD because the glory of the LORD filled the LORD'S house.3 All the sons of Israel, seeing the fire come down and the glory of the LORD upon the house, bowed down on the pavement with their faces to the ground, and they worshiped and gave praise to the LORD, saying, “Certainly He is good, certainly His faithfulness is everlasting.”

2 Chronicles 7:11-13 11 So Solomon finished the house of the LORD and the king's palace, and successfully completed everything that he had planned on doing in the house of the LORD and in his palace.12 Then the LORD appeared to Solomon at night and said to him, "I have heard your prayer and have chosen this place for Myself as a house of sacrifice.13 "If I shut up the heavens so that there is no rain, or if I command the locust to devour the land, or if I send a plague among My people,

2 Chronicles 7:14 14 and My people who are called by My name humble themselves, and pray and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and I will forgive their sin and will heal their land.

1 Peter 4:17a 17a For it is time for judgment to begin with the household of God;

2 Chronicles 7:15-16 15 "Now My eyes will be open and My ears attentive to the prayer offered in this place.16 "For now I have chosen and consecrated this house so that My name may be there forever, and My eyes and My heart will be there always.

James 1:27 27 Pure and undefiled religion in the sight of our God and Father is this: to visit orphans and widows in their distress, and to keep oneself unstained by the world.

Psalm 68:5 5 A father of the fatherless and a judge for the widows, Is God in His holy dwelling.

Isaiah 1:17 17 Learn to do good; Seek justice, Rebuke the oppressor, Obtain justice for the orphan, Plead for the widow's case.
