Preventing Spiritual Amnesia Joshua 23 & 24 are separate occasions. He is near the end of his life and challenges Israel to be faithful to God because the Lord has been faithful to them. Realize God’s interest in you - Joshua 23 Joshua talks about God’s promises four times (Josh. 23:5,9,14,15) 13 times he uses the phrase “Lord Your God.” God is interested in where you are at right . There are promises of for following the Lord. There are promises of for not following (vs. 15-16) Recount God’s in your life - Joshua 24 Joshua starts at the beginning with Terah, Abraham’s idol worshipping father, and goes up to the present day recounting the Lord’s faithfulness to Israel. Joshua’s challenge to them is God’s challenge to us. Will you say “I also will the LORD, for He is God." What has God been saying to you today or throughout this series?
