The aim of the church is: To make who love & live like .

  1. Loving & Living like Jesus is: Seeds Amongst Listening Ears (Matt. 13:1-9)
  • Who? Anyone who wants to listen.
  • How? By being relatable. Everyone was familiar with sowing seeds.
  • What? He gives them something to meditate on and ask questions about.
  1. A Disciple of Jesus: & Asks Questions (Matt. 13:10)
  • Matthew 13:11-12 - The seeker will understand more, while the passive will not.
  • Matthew 13:15 – Like hardened soil, passive people allow their hearts to grow hard.
  • Jesus wants them to hear and understand and be healed by Him!
  1. Making Disciples of Jesus involves: with Others to Cultivate an Understanding of God’s Word (Matt. 13:18-23)
  • Matthew 13:19 – Recognize people who do not understand because they do not want this.
  • Matthew 13:20-21 – Some people allow suffering & hardships to harden their hearts towards God.
  • Matthew 13:22 – Some people allow worldly desires & riches to harden their hearts towards God.
  • Matthew 13:23 – As a church we want to create a culture where anyone with a teachable heart can hear and understand God’s Word. This is worth all of our efforts and time!
  • The fruit will impact lives. The seed will be passed on to the next generation!
