Today we are asking you to take a prayer magnet, put it on your fridge at home, and together as one body, pray in Jesus’ name throughout this year!

From Jesus’ teaching on prayer in John 14:12-14 & Luke 11:5-8 we can confidently say:

Heaven’s provisions & God’s great works are directly connected to the church’s persistence in prayer!

God help us to:

  1. Prayerfully and faithfully partner with our .

o David & Dana Thacker and Frank & Jasmine Cline are leading a church revitalization mission at Immanuel Baptist Church in Kinston, NC.

o Alesio & Juliana lead a children’s ministry called CEF (Child Evangelism Fellowship) in Albania.

o Ben & Jess Thacker will leave Jan. 25 to continue their training with the IMB and language school as they prepare to serve full time in Guadalajara, Mexico.

o Pray for wisdom, discernment, strength, guidance, boldness, love, and rest for each of these families! Pray for the gospel to spread, disciples to be made, leaders to be equipped, relationships to be established, provisions to be given, and Christ’s church to be built through their efforts!

o If you were serving in these locations, how much would it mean to you to know 200+ people were praying for you daily!?

• Praying for missionaries fuels our global awareness of the world’s need for the Gospel & Discipleship!

  1. Diligently and faithfully .

o John 13:8, 12-15

o Serve to wash feet like Jesus and be the flow through of His love.

o Work hard vs. slacking.

o Plan and prepare well vs. winging it.

o Use the gifts He gave you vs. neglecting them. Luke 19:13-23

o Choose the “I get to” mindset vs. the “I have to” mindset.

• Praying this way fuels our efforts in the church, home, school, and workplace by reminding us of the eternal purpose Christ has called all of us to! Don’t waste your life being idle.

  1. Intentionally preserve the of the body.

o Ephesians 4:1-6

o Build relationships; Learn names; Ask questions; Stay plugged in; Exhort rather than tear down; Check the App; Be aware of wolves who bite, devour, & divide the flock (Acts 20:28-31); Become biblically confident on why we believe and do what we do (vision); Trust the leadership as we submit to Christ and His Word.

o If someone was trying to come in between you and your spouse, or children, or parents, or friend, how serious do you take such an attack?

• Praying this way helps you to remain accountable and active in that which is high on the priority list for the Holy Spirit!

  1. Train and equip the next of gospel workers.

o Ephesians 4:12-15

o Who is God raising up to serve as a teacher, deacon, elder, or missionary?

o God desires for each believer to confidently grow and mature in their walk with Christ, such that no doctrine deceives them, and they are ready to share the truth of His word with others wherever He leads them.

o Do you desire this for yourself and those closest to you?

o When you give, serve, pray, and invest in the ministries of this church, you are investing in the next generation God is raising up to send out!

• Praying this way fuels your heart and mind to stay focused on the Great Commission! Let’s go!
