We come with the past behind us, and the future open. We come to celebrate the new life Christ brings. Christ is with us! Christ is with us indeed! Hymn He Lives UMH 310 Opening Prayer Nancy Sams Dear God, this past week has been one of mixed emotions. We greeted you with palm branches, we gathered around tables to share a farewell meal, and we witnessed your death on a simple wooden cross. Yet on the third day, you come to us again in victory. By this, we know that death is not the final word. As the sun boldly rises to meet a new day, rise in our lives this Easter morning, for you are our hope, our life, and our joy. Amen. The Young at Heart Joys and Concerns Morning Prayer & The Lord’s Prayer Our Father, who art in heaven hallowed be thy name, thy kingdom come, thy will be done, on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us. Lead us not into temptation but deliver us from evil, for thine is the Kingdom, and the power, and the glory for ever. Amen. Anthem Jesus Lives, Alleluia! Our Mission: We exist to see all people find Hope, Healing, and Wholeness through Jesus Christ. Easter Easter means a new start for all of us. Just as we journey with the disciples to the cross, we come with them again to the empty tomb, a turning point in our journey that redefines our trajectory, redirects our priorities, and realigns our love for God and neighbor. Easter is a new start for all of us who journey together in grace as the Body of Christ, for it is the good news that binds us together and empowers us to continue on the path set before us.
