Call to Worship Susan Woods
A legal expert asked Jesus “Teacher, what is the greatest commandment in the Law?”
You must love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind.
This is the first and greatest commandment. And the second is like it:
You must love your neighbor as you love yourself.
All the Law and the Prophets depend on these two commands.

Hymn O God, Our Help in Ages Past Vs. 1, 2, & 5 UMH 117

Opening Prayer Susan Woods
We remember the faith of Moses, who only was able to see into the Promised Land, but that was enough. We thank you for the faith of Abraham and Sarah who were willing to sacrifice their child to prove their righteousness. May all the examples of faith, stretch and grow our own in the name of Jesus. Amen.

Old Testament Lesson Deuteronomy 34:1-12 Susan Woods

Morning Prayer & The Lord’s Prayer
Our Father, who art in heaven hallowed be thy name, thy kingdom come, thy will be done, on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us. Lead us not into temptation but deliver us from evil for thine is the Kingdom, and the power, and the glory for ever Amen.

We thank the Altar Guild each Sunday for providing a variety of silk flower arrangements on the altar to the glory of God. If you would like to sponsor a Sunday with an arrangement, fill out the sponsor sheet on the welcome table.

The Altar Guild has partnered with Dudley Florist to provide our altar flowers. Two types of arrangements are available at $30 or $40 per vase depending on type of flowers, colors, and size of arrangement. Please use the 5 x 8 cards to leave specific information. If office is closed, place in the plastic holder affixed to the church office door.

Our Mission

Making disciples of Jesus Christ for the transformation of the World.

We began as Infants

Testing in this sense is not an arbitrary or extraneous challenge or burden laid upon those who decide to be believers. Rather, it is living out of one’s faith day by day. Our faith is tested because we use it. The testing is in acting as people of faith. It is not a hoop to jump through or even a job evaluation exercise. Our faith is tested whenever we step out in faith, whenever we stand up against injustice, whenever we act out of love for God or neighbor, whenever we swim against the cultural current and put ourselves at risk.
