Proverbs 3:9 Honor the Lord with your wealth And with the first fruits of all your crops (income); 10 Then your barns will be abundantly filled And your vats will overflow with new wine. One of if not the only time we are instructed specifically to honor God. the Hebrew word here for honor means to make heavy or to weigh down. Honor in this passage translate to weigh down- Weigh down the Lord with our wealth and the first fruits of our increase! God is the God of supernatural multiplication Anything placed in the hand of God multiplies and returns. I put my resources in the Hand of God because that is the only way for them to supernaturally increase. Deuteronomy 8:17,18 17 Otherwise, you may say in your heart, ‘My power and the strength of my hand made me this wealth.’ 18 But you shall remember [with profound respect] the Lord your God, for it is He who is giving you power to make wealth, that He may confirm His covenant which He swore (solemnly promised) to your fathers, as it is this day. Nothing we have is as a result of our abilities or strength God gave us knowledge, strength, intellegence, ideas, the resources around us, and opens doors on our behalf. We have been given the power by God to make wealth. word translates to make or bring forth Why? that he may confirm His covenant with you in the earth One of the way God shows himself faithful to us is through His blessing. How do I give? Deuteronomy 16:17 17 Every man [a]shall give as he is able, in accordance with the blessing which the Lord your God has given you.
