What is a Pharisee?

“Now there was a man of the Pharisees named Nicodemus, a ruler of the Jews.” (John 3:1, ESV)  

““You shall not eat anything that has died naturally. You may give it to the sojourner who is within your towns, that he may eat it, or you may sell it to a foreigner. For you are a people holy to the LORD your God. “You shall not boil a young goat in its mother’s milk.” (Deuteronomy 14:21, ESV)  

What did Nicodemus want?

“This man came to Jesus by night and said to him, “Rabbi, we know that you are a teacher come from God, for no one can do these signs that you do unless God is with him.”” (John 3:2, ESV)  

“Jesus answered him, “Truly, truly, I say to you, unless one is born again he cannot see the kingdom of God.”” (John 3:3, ESV)  

But God So Loved

“For God loved…” (John 3:16, CSB)    

Who did God Love?

“For God loved the world…” (John 3:16, CSB) 

How did God Love?

“For God loved the world in this way: He gave his one and only Son…(John 3:16, CSB)  

Why did God Love?

“For God loved the world in this way: He gave his one and only Son, so that everyone who believes in him will not perish but have eternal life.” (John 3:16, CSB)  

Believing God’s Love  

“Could we with ink the ocean fill, And were the skies of parchment made; Were every tree on earth a quill, And every man a scribe by trade; To write the love of God above Would drain the ocean dry, Nor could the scroll contain the whole, Though stretched from sky to sky.”
