Let There be Light

Part 4 Believers: A reflection of the Light

By Keith Davis, January 26, 2025

“When Moses came down Mount Sinai carrying the two stone tablets inscribed with the terms of the covenant, he wasn’t aware that his face had become radiant because he had spoken to the LORD.” -Exodus 34:29 NLT

“The old way, with laws etched in stone, led to death, though it began with such glory that the people of Israel could not bear to look at Moses’ face. For his face shone with the glory of God, even though the brightness was already fading away.” -2 Corinthians 3:7 NLT

“Shouldn’t we expect far greater glory under the new way, now that the Holy Spirit is giving life? If the old way, which brings condemnation, was glorious, how much more glorious is the new way, which makes us right with God!” -2 Corinthians 3:8-9 NLT

  • Walk in With Jesus: Realize that without Jesus, I am nothing!

“…we have heard and seen [Jesus]. We saw him with our own eyes and touched him with our own hands. He is the Word of life. This one who is life itself was revealed to us, and we have seen him.” 1 John 1:1 NLT

“But to all who believed him and accepted him, he gave the right to become children of God.” -John 1:12 NLT

  • We Walk In For Jesus

“…Walk in the light as He is in the light, we have fellowship with one another and the blood of Jesus cleanses us from all sin.” -1 John 5:7 NLT

“But whenever someone turns to the Lord, the veil is taken away. For the Lord is the Spirit, and wherever the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom. So all of us who have had that veil removed can see and reflect the glory of the Lord. And the Lord—who is the Spirit—makes us more and more like him as we are changed into his glorious image.” -2 Corinthians 3:16-18 NLT

THEME PASSAGE: “You are the light of the world—like a city on a hilltop that cannot be hidden. No one lights a lamp and then puts it under a basket. Instead, a lamp is placed on a stand, where it gives light to everyone in the house. In the same way, let your good deeds shine out for all to see, so that everyone will praise your heavenly Father.” -Matthew 5:14 NLT
