The Dream of God - Ephesians 3:14-15 The Dream of God: One family united by christ out all the peoples of the earth for all eternity living in redemptive Love. “For this reason I bow my knees before the Father, from whom every family in heaven and on earth is named…” - Ephesians 3:14-15 “So then you are no longer strangers and aliens, but you are fellow citizens with the saints and members of the household of God.” - Ephesians 2:19 In Creation, God made us with capacity for deep personal relationship with Himself and deep personal relationship one another. “So God created man in his own image, in the image of God he created him; male and female he created them.” Genesis 1:27 “Then the Lord God said, ‘It is not good that man should be alone; I will make a helper fit for Him.’" Genesis 2:18 “Therefore a man shall leave his father and his mother and hold fast to his wife, and they shall become one flesh.” Genesis 2:24 “And he said to him, ‘You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind. This is the great and first commandment. And a second is like it: ‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself. The Drama of the Church - Ephesians 3:16-19 “that according to the riches of his glory, he may grant you to be strengthened with power through his Spirit in your inner being, so that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith – that you being rooted and grounded in love, may have strength to comprehend with all the saints what is the breadth and length and height and depth, and to know the love of Christ that surpasses knowledge that you may be filled with all the fullness of God.” Ephesians 3:16-19 The Church is the invitation of God to go on the extraordinary journey of discovering family as it was meant through the redemptive power of Jesus Christ. “This mystery is that the Gentiles are fellow heirs, members of the same body, and partakers of the promise in Christ Jesus through the gospel. – Ephesians 3:6 We don’t easily enter relationships or risk after we have been injured. C. The Drive of the Church – To Glorify God. Ephesians 3:20-21 “Now to him who is able to do far more abundantly than all that we ask or think, according to the power at work within us, to him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, forever and ever.
